In 1964 The Royal Anglian Regiment was created from several old regiments of the line; The Royal Norfolk Reg't, The Suffolk Reg't,
The Royal Lincolnshire Reg't, The Northamptonshire Reg't,
The Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire Reg't, The Essex Reg't and
The Royal Leicestershire Reg't.

Today Lincolnshires are represented in
the 2nd Battalion of The Royal Anglian Regiment.
